Privacy Policy

Data Privacy Policy

The protection of the personal data you disclose to us during your visit on our website is very important to us. Personal data is all kind of information concerning yourself, i.e. name, address, phone number, email address, bank details etc. as well as all information which can be traced back to you. This also includes the transmission of your IP address, which is conducted automatically as part of a mandatory process.

We would like you to know what kind of information we collect, when we collect it and how we use it. We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that privacy policy regulations are complied with by ourselves as well as possible external service providers, particularly taking into account the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the European Union (EU) effective 25 May 2018.

On our website we automatically collect personal data only as far as it is technically necessary.

In the following you will find information on what data we collect during your visit on our website, and how we use it.

If you want to assert rights (see further down), please contact us – you can find our contact details on the website credits.

If you have general queries regarding privacy protection, please contact our data protection official Thomas Schneider at datenschutz [at] pmp-mail [dot] de. Please mention our company name in the subject heading for easier allocation.

Collection and processing of personal data

Access to our website

When you visit our website your IP address and other information is automatically transmitted. We as operator do not record access to our website. The internet provider automatically collects and stores data on so-called server log files, which are automatically transmitted to us. These are:

  • browser type and version
  • system software
  • referrer URL
  • host name of accessing computer
  • time of server inquiry
  • IP address

The storage serves to fulfil legal obligations of a provider as well as system related purposes. It essentially ensures website availability in compliance with § 100 TA (Faults in Telecommunications Systems and Telecommunications Service Fraud) and serves to solve offences consistent with the TA, of which he is responsible.

SSL and TLS encryption

This website uses SSL and TSL encryption in order to protect confidential information, e.g. orders or enquiries that you send us. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the change from “http://” to “https://” as well as a lock symbol in the address bar of your browser.

An activated SSL or TSL encryption ensures that information you send us cannot be read by a third party.

Duty to supply information according to Art. 13 GDPR

According to the General Data Protection Regulation, we are legally bound to provide information about every collection of personal data. In the framework of our website we collect personal data and would like to inform you accordingly. A collection of personal data occurs, for example, when we

  • collect your IP address to ensure technical provision of our website
  • apply tracking tools which use IP addresses (we do not apply tracking tools!)
  • receive your entries by means of a contact form (we do not use contact forms!)

Basic procedure:

If you have provided us with personal data, we use it solely to reply to your enquiries and for the provision of our website. Your personal data is only passed on or transmitted to others if this is necessary for the implementation of the contract, e.g. transfer of order data to suppliers, for billing purposes, if we are legally bound to it, for order processing by sub-contractors, or if you have agreed to it beforehand. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Your personal data will be deleted if

  • it is no longer necessary, i.e. if a process is completed and there is no legal retention period to prevent a deletion
  • you withdraw your consent to the storage
  • the storage is for any other reason inadmissible.

In case of technical reasons preventing a deletion, your personal data will be anonymised so that a personal reference will no longer be possible.

All collection and processing on this website lie within our responsibility.

Additional details can be found in the following sections.

Contact form

We do not use a contact form. You can communicate with us by sending an email to the info@-address stated on the contact/contact request section. Please note that e-mail correspondence is unencrypted. We ask you therefore not to send us any confidential information by email.

We use this information exclusively for the processing of your request. If necessary, we will include third parties in the transaction in compliance with the regulations, e.g. when processing a work order. If your data has been transmitted to us in the context of a business relation, we will store your contact details in our internal system. Your actual request may also be stored internally (e.g. ticketing system, email system) in order to enable internal processing.

As we assume a permanent business relation, we only delete or anonymise data upon request (see right to erasure) provided there is no legal retention period to prevent a deletion.

With the transmission of your personal data to us, you agree to the collection and use of your data as outlined in this privacy policy (Art. 6, 1 a – consent). As far as your information is necessary for the completion of a business (“contract”), this is the legal basis of the process (Art. 6, 1 b).

Route planner

We want you to find us as easily as possible. Therefore we have integrated a route planner into the contact request section. If you type in your post code and click on “plan route”, Google Maps by Google Inc. will open up after your having positively answered our security question. You will then leave our website and continue on a site that is outside our responsibility. For Google Maps’ terms of use please refer to “Google Maps Terms of Service”.

Cookies

On our websites we use cookies, which are small text files that are saved on your computer and stored by your browser. Cookies can serve various purposes: they improve the user’s internet experience. By using cookies, the internet receives a kind of memory; a webpage may remember that a user has visited it before, for example, and make a new registration unnecessary. Cookies are able to track even complex navigation and user behaviour, which they store and transmit to the operator. This enables a profile formation which has to be viewed critically in terms of data protection.

Cookies are mainly used for online marketing purposes, e.g. for personalised ads. The collected information is used for target group oriented ad placement on websites. Retargeting goes even further: during a visit on a company website, the users are marked by means of a tracking cookie, then followed on their navigation through the internet. The company’s advertisement is placed regularly on the other web pages the user is visiting in order to remind them of the company’s goods and services.

We do not use targeting cookies on our website.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted at the end of the user session. For further special information on cookies please see elsewhere in this privacy policy or on dialogue/banner messages.

You can adjust your computer settings so that you are informed about the placing of cookies and allow it only in individual cases, forbid the acceptance of cookies in certain or all cases or to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing your browser. Deactivation of cookies can restrict the functionality of a website.

Cookies which are necessary for electronic communication or certain desired features are stored in accordance with Art. 6,1 lit f GDPR (processing based on legitimate interests of the controller). The website controller has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure error-free, optimised provision of services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies which analyse your navigation behaviour) are stored, they are outlined elsewhere in this privacy policy.

Links to other websites

Our website contains links to external websites by third parties, on the contents of which we have no influence. We can therefore accept no responsibility for the content of these third-party websites. The liability lies solely with the provider or operator of the linked websites. At the time of linking, we have checked the linked sites for statutory violations and have found no illegal contents. Though it is not possible to constantly check websites for illegal contents without any indication for a rights violation, we will immediately delete a link if a violation of rights becomes known to us. Please note the privacy policy of the third parties to whose web page the link leads.

Your rights – rights of the data subject according to GDPR

Art. 12 – 23 GDPR governs the rights of the data subject, i.e. their rights in terms of how their personal data is used. Essentially, these rights are:

  • right to information at the latest at the time of collection in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, which we comply with through this data protection declaration
  • right of access by the data subject (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • if applicable: right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

In accordance with the GDPR and other statutory provisions, we will assist you in asserting your rights.

If you have any queries regarding the assertion of your rights, please contact the person indicated on the website credits. Please understand that on behalf of the rights of others, we can only give out personal information if you have given proof of identity. We therefore prefer the following procedure:

We will be glad to comply with your written request. You will then receive a registered letter with the relevant documents. For possible further enquiries we ask you to please provide us with additional contact details (email and/or phone number).

You have furthermore the right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority. This is normally the data protection official of the Federal land in which the company is based – in our case it is the data protection official of Baden-Württemberg. A list of the data protection officials as well as their contact details can be found here:

Security advice:

We aim to protect your personal data by taking all possible technical and organisational measures in storing them in such a way that they are not accessible by third parties. In case of communication using unencrypted email, we cannot ensure complete data protection, which is why we advise you to use encrypted email or regular mail when sending confidential information.
